FAQ

Pre-Treatment

  • Refrain from consuming alcohol, aspirin-containing medications, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications for seven days before and two days after any procedure. Always consult your doctor before discontinuing any medication.

  • A skin test patch is available upon request, although allergic reactions to pigments/dyes can still occur immediately or manifest years later, regardless of whether a skin test patch is performed. Allergic reactions are exceptionally rare.

  • Ensure any tweezing, tinting, or waxing is done at least 48 hours before the procedure.

  • Eyelash extensions should not be worn with eyeliner treatments.

  • Avoid wearing contact lenses during or immediately after an eyeliner procedure; instead, bring your glasses. You can resume wearing contact lenses once your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.

  • For lip procedures and individuals with a history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex, obtaining proper antiviral tablets, whether by prescription or over the counter, is necessary to prevent an outbreak.

  • If you have an existing cosmetic tattoo in the area you wish to treat, please send photos to Kate at 0417 007 560 before booking. The work must be assessed for approval.

For clients who have previously had their brows cosmetically tattooed, treatment prices will be quoted individually based on factors such as existing pigment, shaping, and skin quality. Prices may vary from client to client.

KDA Cosmetic Tattoo reserves the right to refuse service if your existing brow tattoo cannot be covered. In cases where previous tattoos were done incorrectly, clients may need to undergo removal treatments before getting their brows re-done. Ideally, the pigment should be faded by 80% before refreshing the colour.

  • KDA Cosmetic Tattoo does not offer touch-ups at 5-8 weeks for non-existing clients, as each technician uses different pigments and artistic styles. If you require a touch-up, please contact your initial technician.

  • Please notify KDA Cosmetics immediately if there are any active cold sores, acne, moles, or blemishes in the treatment area, as your appointment may need to be postponed until blemishes have cleared or moles have been removed and healed.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform Kate as the treatment will need to be postponed.

  • Please be aware that cosmetic tattoo treatments are an art form, and results may vary from client to client due to differences in skin types and healing processes. KDA Cosmetic Tattoo cannot guarantee successful results for 100% of our clients. Prospective clients should thoroughly review all information provided on this website and during the pre-procedure consultation, as we do not offer refunds on deposits or treatments.

Post-Treatment

  • Due to potential swelling or redness in delicate or sensitive areas, it's advisable to avoid social plans for a day or two following any procedure. Some procedures may take longer than anticipated under certain circumstances.

  • Most Cosmetic Tattoo procedures require multiple sessions for completion. A follow-up touch-up adjustment visit is necessary before finalising the work, typically scheduled at intervals of 4-6 weeks or longer.

  • Expect the colour intensity of the procedure to initially appear sharper, brighter, or darker than the intended outcome. This transition depends on the exfoliation rate of your skin's outer layer.

  • Avoid wearing contact lenses during or immediately after an eyeliner procedure; instead, bring your glasses. You can resume wearing contact lenses once your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.

  • Protect healing skin from direct sun exposure, wind, tanning beds, hot water, saunas, saltwater, and pool water for at least 7-10 days following the procedure.

Avoid picking, peeling, or scratching the healing skin to prevent uneven pigment healing, infection, or scarring.
